Nine Workspaces Where Famous Folks Get Stuff Done

Really insightful look at where some well-known “knowledge workers” make things happen each day.  As someone who’s trying to embrace the Getting Things Done productivity method, the short interview with David Allen is especially intriguing.  Looking at all of the others that were chosen, their personal style is uniquely evident in each space.

Tech Support Cheat Sheet Reveals the Secrets of Troubleshooting

When it comes to new stuff I’ve never seen before, this is pretty much how it goes; not including the strange conversation which occurs over the phone, with a fair bit of confusion, questioning and occasional yelling – on both ends – thrown in for “flavor”.  To the ‘Home Sysadmins’ out there, I feel your pain.

Interesting take on the “mythology” of the software industry.  At least Ballmer doesn’t occupy the Microsoft place of honor, Gates is a much better choice.

I thought this was supposed to be easy…

If Macs are generally considered to be easy to use, someone forgot to mention it to a few of the faculty members at Rider.

Easy to Use?

I know that some professors and instructors may not be THAT familiar with Apple hardware, but reminding people where stuff like the power button and the optical drive are seems weird.  There’s only one place to insert a disc on the machine, where else would the drive go?  The reference to dual-booting is understandable, but is there any reason to have “MAC” on the sign?

Just a thought.
