Chris Finazzo is recent graduate of the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Rider University. He obtained a degree in Multimedia Communication and Web Design with a Double Minor in Computer Information Systems and Advertising.

He is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Corporate & Organizational Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Chris has always been interested in technology and the different ways people can use it. In addition, 2 internships worth of experience have given him a unique perspective on the role of technology in organizations. Never far from technology, Chris occasionally serves as the “Home Sysadmin” for family and friends.  The original idea for the blog goes back to the beginning of Chris’ undergraduate college career when he started his freshman year as a Journalism major. During that time, he was a contributing writer to The Rider News for its Features and Entertainment section. Although he decided later on to change his focus to target the web instead of traditional media, Chris never forgot his “writing roots” and sees this blog as an outlet for those everyday observations of how people use the technology around them.

  2. Dear Thoughts on Technology,

On behalf of the Plug and Play Tech Center Team, we would like to congratulate you on your team’s achievements. In honor of iPhone apps and developers we have put together a conference centered around iPhone development called iPhone Play. Plug and Play Tech Center is the largest cluster of software mobile application in the world. There are 250 companies housed at our facilities with another 250 companies as a part of our community. Plug and Play Tech Center has helped and invested in a number of iPhone apps such as SGN, Melodis, and Clixter. We have pulled our resources to provide you with an informative and insightful day.

We also want to shine the spotlight on the iPhone developers. This is why we are allowing iPhone apps to apply for a chance to demo at this conference at no cost. This is Plug and Play’s way of saying that we believe in what you do and we would like to see you succeed.

We will provide Demo tables, internet, and power in the demo pit. In addition to this every company will be allotted a 3-5 minute time to demo their iPhone app to an audience of investors, developers, and bloggers. We will provide internet connectivity (WiFi), an Elmo visualizer for you to demo the app live and the opportunity to show up to 4 slides as well as video. The event is at our Sunnyvale facility, 440 Wolfe Rd, Sunnyvale CA, Sunday 3– 7 pm.

This conference coincides with the launch of our iPhone Pavilion designed to be a home for iPhone app developers. By being accepted to join our community of the 20 top iPhone apps/companies, Amidzad, our investment arm, will review each of them multiple times with our VC partners DFJ, Norwest, Sequoia etc. and invest in many of them.

So if you would like to demo your product please let us know via email. We are putting together a list of companies and a committee will select the apps to present during the event. If you are interested please respond to this email and you will be entered for selection. Please let me know if you have any more questions as well.

    Thank you,
