Finally the EU has a bright idea

If Microsoft really wants people to use the latest versions of their software, this is the way to do it.  Read the FAQ, this guy speaks for all web designers when he sums up his feelings about IE6.

I absolutely hate Internet Explorer 6 and everything it stands for.

Enough said.

Can an Employer’s Past Follow Its Workers?

Not surprising.  I’ve told several companies that I had an internship with Lehman, followed by ‘a year before it imploded’.  Haven’t gotten quite the same reaction, but it wouldn’t be weird at all to find out that this happens.

Apple drops 20″ Cinema Display

At this point, I’m not surprised they decided to stop making these.  With only 2 models left (24″ and 30″), Apple likely figures that anything smaller than that is too small.  Even though rumors abound that the 30″ may be on the way out as well, there are probably enough pro users out there to justify its existence.

I’m not sure, but it sounds like a good idea.  Once again, you own the hardware, not the software that runs on it.

10 Things Every Programmer Should Know For Their First Job

Good to know.  Too bad my internship at Lehman Brothers was over by the time I figured this out.  Who knows, this might actually get me to pick up and learn BBEdit.  Kudos to the guys at MT, they’ve got this down real well, especially #4.

Push Notification Service lives on in Snow Leopard

Another approach to solving Apple’s problem with PNS, hopefully this one gets past the drawing board.  If it works, I might overlook having to wait for Snow Leopard in order to use it.  (Via AppleInsider)
